Basils Story

Basil is a beautiful black and white kitten born at cat and kitten care 8 weeks ago,
when he was 6 weeks old, he developed a head tilt. I took him to the vets, and he was
put on antibiotics for an ear infection.
Things seemed to be going well and started to improve after a few days of antibiotics. Then basil’s head started to tilt again so I took him back to the vets and they made a video of him and sent to a neurologist at a specialist vet to get some advice, in the meantime he had more antibiotics and was now old enough to have anti-inflammatory added in if things don’t improve.
After a month it has been recommended, he is referred to a specialist vets for a head scan, the price quoted at the time was £3500. Sadly, if it was to come to that, and Basil doesn’t
improve, we will be unable to afford the cost of a scan and any further treatment he
may need as we are only a small charity and have 43 other cats to care for plus 8 in
foster care.
If anyone would like to donate any spare pennies to help Basil and his
friends, we would be very grateful.
