Summer

Summer is 12yrs old she was found in the Oxfam shop in Walthamstow high street
apparently, she had just wondered in she was removed from the shop, and it was
closed for the night, the next day Summer returned to the shop the manager phoned us for help I said I would take her, and the gentleman kindly drove her to my house.

Summer was a very difficult cat to keep in she didn’t like the other cats much, she just
tolerated them. Eventually she made her escape and climbed out of the bedroom
window on to the extension roof. She wondered around for a while then to my
surprise she climbed back through the window this became Summers new life she was
happy and so was I, after a while Summer started bringing gifts home not the odd mouse or bird you might think, but no, she brought back peoples underwear, soft toys, empty cigarette packets... all sorts of things she would leave them on the extension roof eventually we would have to climb out of the window to clear her treasures.

6yrs ago we moved to Hertfordshire and Summer and the other cats started a new life in the countryside for a while Summer was happy catching the odd mouse until where we live the barns were sold for development and that’s when her antics started again she would bring home the gloves the builders left lying around, they make excellent gardening gloves, thanks Summer!
The building work finished and some of the barn conversions have been sold.
Now she has started stealing peoples washing I have yet to return them to the rightful
owners.
